The El Paso Regional ITS Architecture covers existing and planned ITS elements through the region.

Description

The El Paso Regional ITS Architecture is a roadmap for transportation systems integration in the El Paso Region over the next 20 years. The architecture is being developed through a cooperative effort by the region's transportation agencies, covering all modes and all roads in the region. The purpose of this architecture is to document how the region envisions that each agency's systems will work together in the future and how sharing of information and resources will help provide a safer, more efficient, and more effective transportation system for travelers in the region.

Time Frame 2021–2040

Geographic Scope

The geographic scope of the El Paso Regional ITS Architecture includes the Texas counties of El Paso, Hudspeth, Culberson, Jeff Davis, Presidio, and Brewster, as well as parts of Doña Ana County and Otero County in New Mexico.

Service Scope

The architecture covers the broad spectrum of ITS, including Traffic Management, Traveler Information, Maintenance and Construction Management, Public Transportation Management, Commercial Vehicle Operations, Data Management, Parking Management, Public Safety, Weather, Connected Vehicles and International Border Crossings.
