Description
This element represents a future regional traveler information system. The system will collect information from multiple public and private sources. It will disseminate traveler information for both freeway and arterial roadways in the El Paso region. Information that could be disseminated by these systems includes travel times, roadway congestion, closures, incidents, work zones, live camera feeds, DMS messages, weather events, special events, and upcoming constructions, among others. Traveler information could be delivered to travelers via multiple ways such as websites, social media, and mobile apps.
